is obvious in this year's report, although there are some positives to be taken from the survey data. Our members' survey shows that while average (mean) production volumes have fallen significantly this year, with the speed of decline in overall beer sales in the UK market increasing, there are signs of growth for some SIBA brewers. The median average for SIBA actually increased by +14% this year. This suggests that the overall national global players, with volume also being taken out of the market by closures financial storm. It also suggests that where SIBA brewers can capitalise on their local roots and offer consumers something a bit different, they are 2024, having increased +10% the year before. This takes mean average production levels below 2023 volumes, and if we take out backdrop of an increasing rate of brewery closures (-137 in 2025 according to the SIBA Brewery Tracker, compared to -100 the year production levels has stalled. This represents quite a bleak picture for the UK brewing sector, and is indeed reflective of overall UK beer sales being in growing decline. The latest BBPA data shows a -1.8% fallin total beer sales in the UK in 2025, compounding the -1% fall in 2024 and taking overall beer sales to -8.4% below pre-pandemic levels.
