The Responsible Nomads program, previously program,3 adopted a new certification scheme Certification in 2024, accounting for 0.1% of in the volumes reported for 2023 and 2024, production has roughly halved since 2023, reported for 2022. Between 2023 and 2024, The Sustainable Fiber Alliance (SFA), with estimated 6,454 tonnes of greasy cashmere in 2019, produced 2,700 tonnes of greasy cashmere fiber in 2024 from around 2.4 million from 2023, when 5,400 tonnes of fiber were of all cashmere produced in China in 2024, worldwide.2 The decline is attributed to low nation. Edition 19. 2024 data was not available so 2023 is used as a proxy nent and implementation of this program. 4 2024 production data for SFA was not available at the time Cashmere Standard v1.0 was replaced with the SFA Animal Fibre Standard. Volumes reported for 2024 were still covered under the SFA volumes reported here include the total volume produced per program including equivalents and overlaps with other standards. It is therefore possiblethat there is overlap in the production volumes reported forthe diffeent programs.
