2、country.A further 1,000 interviews were completed in the UK.All respondents have taken a leisure trip(staying away from home for at least three nights)in the last three years or intend to in the next two years.All respondents,except those in the UK,have travelled or intend to travel outside their co

3、untry.The sample is designed to be representative of this group by age,gender and income.No weightings have been applied.The UK sample is representative of the general population by age,gender,income and geographical region.All interviews were conducted between 7th 11th February 2026.Note:percentage

4、s may not add to 100 due to rounding.“ALL”scores do not include results from UK respondents59%of overseas travellers are certain or likely to visit the UK,but this drops to 44%if a tourist levy is introduced.Even among the most certain(24%),only 14%remain certain with a levy.Certainty drops even for

5、 those already booked to visit the UK(85%down to 76%),but the biggest impact is on those planning but not booked,where certainty falls from 78%to 54%when presented with the proposed UK levy.Travellers have previously changed plans due to levies,with 46%claiming so.They have either still gone ahead b

6、ut spent less or shortened their trip(27%)or gone to another destination(19%).Only 38%say they wouldnt change their plans if the UK brought in a levy of$6/5,dropping to just 27%if the levy is$12/10 per person per night.Depending on the levy amount,either 18%or 29%would consider an alternative destin
